Coronavirus: Who’s been vaccinated in Montgomery County?

Public Health - Dayton & Montgomery County hosted its first COVID-19 vaccination clinic Wednesday at one of its two new places — Sinclair College Centerville.

Over 222,000 people in Montgomery County have had at least one vaccine dose, the Ohio Department of Health reported Friday. Just under 42 percent of the county’s population has started the vaccine and just under 37% of Montgomery County has completed their dose.

In the past 24 hours, 2,057 people have started their vaccine dose in Montgomery County and 1,147 people have completed their dose. As of Friday, 222,427 people have had one vaccine dose and 195,242 people have completed their dose, or 36.72% of the population, the ODH reported.

This morning, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine visited a coronavirus vaccination clinic at Dayton Children’s South Campus in Miamisburg at 9 a.m. He also visited a Franklin County vaccination clinic.

123,284 women and 98,000 men have been vaccinated in Montgomery County. An additional 1,143 people have been vaccinated, but the ODH did not have a gender recorded.

Nearly 80 percent of the county’s population between the ages of 70 and 74 have started their vaccine dose and about 74 percent of the age group has completed their dose.

The ODH reported that 38,169 people between the ages of 50 and 59, or 55 percent of those in that age range, have started their coronavirus vaccine and 34,238 people in the age group have completed their dose, just under 50 percent of the county’s population within that age range.

As of Friday, just under 10,000 people between the ages of 0 and 19 have started their vaccine dose, or 7.61% of the county’s population in that age range. Just over 6,000 people in the youngest age group have finished their dose, or 4.64% of those in Montgomery County in that age range.

Ohio Governor Mike DeWine recently expanded Pfizer vaccine eligibility to those aged 12-15. Previously, the vaccine was approved for those aged 16 and up. There is no details on a breakdown of ages between 0 and 19 on the ODH’s website.
